    Default Fun Find

[Not exactly my wheelhouse, but I opened a cute little pencil box at the local Flea and was greeted with these two staring back at me. I let them follow me home, box and all.

I didn't bother showing the blades, but they were in pretty amazing condition. They appeared to be covered in red rust when I found them, but it was some kind of waxy red stuff that just rubbed off with hardly any effort and revealed on the automobile one a shiny, typical 5/8" 1/2 hollow without any edge damage. That was the same condition for both, but the Peacock scaled one has a tiny 1/2" blade.

Sorry it was late and the flea market wears my old self out. Appears the the Koken Charmer has a slight frown, the other is has just a slight tarnish at the scale line.
