The unconditional surrender Grant Razor and another cool find
Had a exciting hunting adventure last weekend ( a antique store and 2 flea markets).First find was the Johan Engstrom frame back which i'd been longing for. Then to top it of a 7/8+ WB Unconditional Surrender Grant razor! i could't get a good image of the etching so you will have to take my word for it. What little info i could find on it dates it around 1860. It seems that in a speech General Grant made he stated that he would except nothing but "unconditional surrender" from the Confederates. A newspaper picked up on it a said that his initials U.S stood for "unconditional Surrender". It became his nickname.
Any ideas for making the etching stand out? i was thinking of trying some gun bluing.

Nice find indeed. I'd leave the W&B as is and put it to use. I hate not using a razor. Thats what they are made for.
It's just Sharpening, right?
