    Default European vintage straitrazors

    Hello,
My name is Olav (Norwegian) and this is my first post on this forum. Have inherited a small collection of straitrazors. I dont have a single clue abut value or the history of these knives (I guess they were bought by my grandfather in the 80's but are older then that). I am posting pictures of 4 out of 18, but they kinda represent the collection well (atleast from what I can see). Hope someone have som info or can point in the direction of were I can find it.Name: Josephhaywood & co Markers, Shefield.jpg

Bit hard to see in the lighting on the pictures, but the purr & co 5 andrew street sheffield has an etching that says "Dimond edge razor" and two stars on the side of the writing, also on the blade of the Welt Ruf 500 it says "Fur den starksten Bart"

    Best regards,
    Olav H

What a great inheritance! Are you going to shave with them or are you just trying to find information?
The first wo look like they should clean up quite easily. There are members from Norway here that could likely to of great help while learning. There is no faster way to learn than face to face.

Welcome. Sorry values not allowed. However, they are a great group. Check strazors.com.

    Information on different manufacturers.

Looks like the first two will be wonderful when all cleaned up. An heirloom razor would be a great gift, but having 18 would be even nicer! I hope you enjoy them.
