Thread: New (to me) hone

Just out of curiosity, I wandered through eBay, searching for hones. I've already got a search saved, and that usually throws up barber hones daily.

So, imagine my surprise when I stumble across a Thuringian on sale for £38 inc.p&p! The box is hinged, etc... I didn't hang around much with the purchasing

It is good to find a nice hone at a bargain price.

Nice score! My question is how did you beat me? When did you make the purchase ?

It was a "Buy now" thing on eBay, and I found it on Tuesday. I've no idea exactly when it was first advertised though.

It had to have been just posted. I saw one a couple weeks back. It was just listed at 75. I fought with myself for less than 10 min and some had snagged it. So very good job!
