Previous W&B oddity rescaled
Even though I would like to do some more careful blade work, I decided to rescale this blade with some honey horn. The wedge is fossil ivory, and was a pain to cut out. I have a lot to learn, and the scales are a bit big, but the heel doesn't stick out the butt, which can be a problem on these straight sided scales. Hey, I'm learning.

Worked on some others this week too, an early Clark & Hall in black horn, and a badly pitted Warranted in camel bone.

Thanks, I'm still learning from my mistakes. Did three others last week, but haven't photoed them yet, and I have some ambitious projects lined up -- 3 different makers 17/16 blades, and I am experimenting with pressing my own horn for some stubbies. Should be most interesting.

Looks pretty good Oldnick.
If I were to add anything it would be...
Try to get more of a wedge.
The wedge looks long to me..could be optical illusion.
A good guide is to have pins the same distance from the end.
You did a FANTASTIC job on the peening... That looks TOP NOTCH!

Wow I love that wade and butcher!
Nothing is fool proof, to a sufficiently talented fool...

I left that bone one a bit wide on purpose, but have figured out how to really get what angle I want with the help of some doubleface tape while grinding. Yeah, it was a little long. The peening also got buffed a bit so, don't be fooled into thinking I can peen a perfect flat dome. Thanks for the underserved kudos.
