Thread: Ed Pinaud bottle and stopper

This turned up a few days ago complete with glass stopper that had apparently been stuck in the neck for 125 years. A few days of gentle persuasion and it popped out so I could get to work cleaning the inside. It's coming along nicely [emoji3]

You know those old blue Pinaud bottles were dyed with a rare African dye made from the Tsetse fly which when stoppered like that forms a gas that once the cap is popped you ingest and that combined with the handling and it's always fatal.

Immediately double wrap it in plastic and send it to me before it's too late. I'll know how to take care of it.
