Wade and Butcher Masonic etch

While I can and will not lay claim to finding this, a fellow member and mentor was kind enough to gift this razor to me. I have just recently passed my third degree as a fellow Mason and was admiring another members Masonic etch razor. This kind Gentleman sent me a message and offered this razor along with display. He told me it belonged with a Mason. I have since not been able to stop looking at it. The generosity of this man brings to my mind the giving of a fellow Mason, the kindness of a fellow Mason, the kindness of a friend and generous nature of a friend.
This razor will always instill in me what it is to be a true Mason and I will also always see it and think of a man I have never met, but always will consider a friend of the truest nature. Just now getting around to sharing this. I was trying to come up with what to say. I simply say, Thank You. Thank you so much for your quips, kind words when needed and gifts. Not only material but of character.

My hat is off to the amazing member who valued the sacrifice to enrich the life of another. Nonetheless, one that he/she had never formally met. The roots of the group of members we have here are exemplified by posts like this. I originally got interested in SRs because my grandfather had passed away and I was lucky enough to get his old strop. Even in passing it seems he had found a way to lead me in the right direction; towards you all. Thanks to the giver for giving it, the recipient for posting this, and to all the others who have done similar acts. This is inspirational!

That's the great part of this forum, were family, though not related.
When I first joined, I didn't understand the PAY IT FORWARD senerio.
But after receiving a gift box in the mail from a great member, with hopes of nothing in return, except for a note inside that read.

Just pay it forward.

It all became clear to me.
