8/8 Max Sprecher Traditional Handle
Got this Max Sprecher razor in the other day off of the b/s/t thread and had to give it a proper home.
It's my first razor of this style. A different feel but an awesome shave.
Hat's off to Max!

I've always wondered about these no scales razors. I would think they'd be very nimble once you get used to them. And you don't have to worry about getting water on the pivot either.

Ok Tom, ya got me...I just looked at Max's website and he lists them as fixed handle.
Wayne, It is definitely a different feeling from a weight and balance standpoint, but it is very easy to get used to. Never thought about the no pivot, good point.
FYI : the wood is elm burl that I oil treated

I dig that wood! Andrew could make several nice brushes outa that!
On those, it's all in the tang. I use my palm against the tail on the long ones to steady them.
I mean...No balance there. It helps!
Looks like Max covered all those bases.
On second thought, it may well balance.
The tail is pretty hefty.....Last edited by sharptonn; 09-18-2017 at 02:11 AM.

Thanked: 2284Great looking razor Pete. I love my custom Kami, but like Tom said, they can be a bit tricky to use sometimes. Enjoy it!
Great idea with the Elm burl too Pete, but if it were here it wouldn't have made it past the lathe. Elm burl can be stunning!Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 228Hard to believe that two Max Sprecher razors came up on the B/S/T so close together. I got the other one, by the way. It was very sharp I found, as I nicked under my nose the second time I shaved with it!
