Thread: MAB Razor

I recently picked up this MAB straight razor at an antique store. It is in very good condition. It only required some 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and lots of Mother's Mag and Aluminium Polish. It cleaned up nicely, but there is a patch of stain on the blade. The edge is in good condition and I just need to set a new bevel and hone.

A kind gentleman on another forum provided the following ad for MAB razors:

"Can be used entirely without stropping."

Imagine the post-shave alum sting from those shaves...

They're neat little razors. Fun to shave with, too!

Kind of like small surgical prep razors.

That's 5 men in 4 (FOUR) min 42 seconds....LOL...don't be taking away from Little Nelly Wick.....

I'm thinking Monty Python could've devoted almost half an episode to that poster, let alone the fun to be had with the name, "Little Nelly Wick"....

Congrats on your latest acquisition.

I really like the feel of my MAB. Haven't had it long and still working on getting the edge to my liking, seems to be extremely hard steel.
