The razor is actually really loose on the pin. It probably caught the scales once while it “fell” shut. Ah well. I’ll tighten it first, then start sanding. Cheers, Herman

And some “after” pictures.
It hurt quite a bit, having to take off so much steel.
I tried to keep te blade shape as good as possible.
It went well. I’m satisfied with the outcome.
The tang stamp is very faint, so in order not to lose it, I went easy on that part.
That does mean that the deeper pitting remains, but so be it.

It looks good, well done, even with the steel removal it's still a big fella.
