Thread: Joseph Rogers & Sons 7 day set

This set only required some cleaning. They appear to have the original factory bevel. There is no hone wear. The case is leather covered and is in need of some care. I'm considering trying some leather dye.
The blades are 5/8 and measure just 2 3/4 inches from heel to toe. A set made for travel maybe. They appear to be 1820's - 1830's but my knowledge of this type of set is lacking. I'm hoping Scienceguy or Voidmonster will chime in with a history lesson. The tang of each blade is stamped with the number 4 and the scales brass tang is stamped with the number 5. I do not know the significance of the numbers but all the blades fit tightly in the scale's tang.
Interesting the logo in the box lid says 'Cutlers to her Majesty' and the blade tang is stamped 'Cutlers to Their Majesties'
