I saw this one and made an offer and won it off the bay. If the blade cleans up OK I'll hone and try it out. I believe the scales are ivory and I guess I'm a sucker for those. anyway here's the photo. It's a Bradwell Bros. Shefffield.

Definitely look like Ivory. I just picked up a clean McIntosh with ivory scales extremely cheap. Why no one bid against me I don't know but it shaves great.

You win some and you loose some. This one arrived today and it looked great. I realy was a 6/8 instead of 11/16. It is Ivory. now the the bad part. When I started to clean it and buff the scales the front side showed a crack from the end of the wedge to just past the pin. very small but there. I don't know if the buffer did it or just pushed a little dirt in it. other that that it cleaned up and i will hone and see how it shaves.

    Looks nice, congrats.
Is the crack problematic or will you be able to use it like that?

The crack is very small and probley want stop it from honing and shaving. just wish it weren't there I really guess because of that I'll put it with those that I''ll let go. When the weather gets where I can't do anything outside I'll take the photos.
