Razors from the Victoria and Albert Museum - London
While in London, I was able to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum, which is one of the finest for art and design (and has free admission). They have a number of razors scattered throughout the museum (and some more in storage).
Small razor, early-mid 18th c.
Interesting spine work
Pair of tortoise razors from a set of mixed makers, latter half of 18th c.
Closeup of the same
Detailing of a squirrel engraving
Square shagreen traveling set
Octagonal shagreen traveling set

Also in the collection was a traveling set from the mid-1600s, complete with razors, tools, a mounted coticule, etc.

Great work ScienceGuy! I've been to the V & A each time I've visited London but I hadn't seen those razors so I'll have to keep it in mind. I don't think I've seen a photo of an actual 17thC razor before: a few probable 18thC ones - usually in Zak's (Voidmonster) collection and certainly never in the hand.
