Default Jerry Stark Custom 7/8 Awaiting New Scales

Acquired this some time back. Fantastic etching, lackluster scales. Hopefully a new set of Kirinite scales will be installed soon. Now that’ll be a sweet looking straight razor I think.

At first...there was room for improvement.
Some time spent on a Naniwa SS 5k, 8k, 12k progression made a lot of difference.
It’s a quarter hollow grind; rather the broadsword than the rapier.
In essence it is a decent shaver. A Zowada or Brian Brown it ain’t. Still it is a welcome member of the quiver.

No. This is a fairly new razor. Maybe 15-18 months or so.
Scales will hopefully be done in this material

Final product. Living with a friend in Florida who will put it to good use.
Fantastic re-scale job by Brian Brown.

The scales look much better than the blanks.
