C9mpared to the Flax strop i just got from scrupleworks, it comletely different. The firehose is a rougher feel where the flax linen is smooth. Its got some weave in the material like what was on seatbelt material back in the 70's. I still havent managed to get the ends on the flax firehose yet. I tried to C.A. one piece and the glue sucked into the leather piece and discoloered the leather badly so i need to figure another way to attach them. Dont think the wifes sewing machine can handle it so i might be punching holes and hand lacing them.

I like how the filled firehose turned out. Is still very flexable and is now flat and not cupped any more. The firahose works well, as it should and now has a better feel to it. Im happy with how it feels and looks. Soon as i manage to get caught up on a few of thsse projects ill post some pics of the two i built.
    It's just Sharpening, right?
