    Default Cichy Knives

I would like to show few straight razors made by my friend CICHY_S. He's knives makers but last few months he also made straight razors.
He steel learns produce good looking razors, but I think achieves level enough to show in this forum.

First of all made so far:

    1. OLD STYLE CLASSIC
Based on my project (little bit smaller then mine)
    Wide: 8/8 inch
    Scales: stabilised and dyed wood
    Steel: carbon
    1/4 hollow without stabiliser

The spine looks much too thin for an 8/8.

Then it will be good for all those that like to hone heavy grinds with two or more layers of tape. Probably come out right

Nice clean looking razor. But i agree that the spine looks thin. Does he know how to measure to get the proper angles needed at the edge/bevel? Might be something for him to learn how to do. Still a fine looking blade. Just thin.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

I'm guessing the spine is supposed to be about 2/8 wide at the hone contact points. measure it and see what it is, photos can be deceiving. Bluesman7 has made many a razor and if he thinks it looks thin it just may be too thin. Curious to see what it measures out to be.

Let us not discourage the maker, other than the questionable geometry the fit and finish look superb.

He made first straight razor few months ago. Step by step, each new one is better than before one.

Lovely damascus pattern on the blade. The scales are beautiful. I like the scale motif very much, almost invokes a sense of bloody struggle with the blade and a reference to the Polish flag at the same time. Well done.
