Let us not discourage the maker, other than the questionable geometry the fit and finish look superb.

Agreed. The hone contact is way up high. Not a lot above it. I quite like that feature.
    That may trick the eye
Looking at the 5th picture, the spine looks plenty wide.

Yeah Sharpton it was that last picture that made me want some measurements because it looks maybe ok or at least not too far off. But what the hell do I know I got to give the steel pounders the benefit of the doubt.

it's a nice looking razor! As has been said already, if he has the geometry (and the hardness right) it is a fine shaver. I'd be proud to own it.

I really like it - it's aesthetically wonderful. If it's technically correct for shaving then it's quite an accomplishment. I hope your friend continues down this path, there is a lot of potential here.

Sorry if I came off as harsh. A simple measurement of the spine thickness would tell if I'm correct. If it is too thin, the sooner the maker is made aware of it the better, no?

I thought they had flat faces with round edges and possibly tapered on the end. I may be wrong. I prefer rounded scales too, but it is a lot of work getting them to come out right!
