    Default Kropp Set - No 1 & No 2

I’ve been watching for Kropps for awhile, because my grandad used one. They seem to be well respected as good razors, but a little pricey. Interesting, because Grandad was a practical blue collar working man from small town Texas.

I spent the afternoon restoring this recent buy. This is a 2 razor set that is labeled on the spine as No. 1 & No. 2. Came with a nice double box.

The risk was some rust on No 2. It left pitting, but the edge took well. Looking forward to tomorrow’s shave.

I have a Kropp that is similar to the one you restored, except I got it NOS from a member here on SRP. Although it will not win any honors for decoration, it takes a nice edge and shaves quite well.

Very good quality razors, nothing fancy but the shaves they give!

Very good vintage Sheffield razors, I've probably restored more Kropp razors than any other razor, I call them the Bic razor of the straight razor world because of their availability, there always seems to be a Krop razor for sale in good order.

Nice looking razors. I like that they are an actual numbered set vs just being matching razors.

Kropp razors were a more expensive brand back then?
