    Smile Shaving mug?

I picked up what appears to be a shaving mug but I have never seen one like it. It came with a slip of paper listing two possible makers but the mug has no makers mark. Has anyone seen anything like this? I guess I could always add it to my wife's tea cup collection.

I cannot help with information, I also cannot help but be intrigued.
You said teacup collection, does that mean it is quite small like a teacup?

It’s hard to judge the size from the photos. I have seen small and dainty shaving mugs and scuttles that look like dainty tea cups and were designed to accommodate small shaving brushes. The removable insert with a drain hole looks like it could fit a puck of soap and allow it to dry between shaves.

I vote that it is a shaving scuttle.

My thought was scuttle, too. Hot water in the bottom, puck of soap on top.

Normal size for a mug I think. 4" tall with the soap bowl and 3 3/4" wide.
