These pair of beauties came my way today via a good friend and a Man of his word, thank you very much, James.
A few weeks previously these came in for honing they had never been touched absolutely mint, well the story goes once I posted the razors back I asked the owner should he ever think of moving these on could he please give me first refusal, well I'm now the very proud owner of these wonderful looking razors.

Gob smacked, you're a lucky sod. As a friend of mine used to say "you don't ask, you don't get". Enjoy those in good health.

Beautiful Jamie, the bill of sale makes them even more interesting. They were an expensive set in 1859, 3 pounds and sixteen shillings. That would be a few weeks wages for a working man.

Brian, that's right expensive indeed, I doubt very much if these were intended for purchase by the working classes.

Since the lesson of this thread is that asking can lead to good things...

    May I have them?
