Nice flea find
Picked up this nice fellow at the monthly market, and was pleasantly surprised that the horn handles had not been lunch for some carpet beetle, and the price was more than excellent. Have done a bit of spiffing so far.

Excellent find, nothing better than a find like that in the wilds.

Outstanding find!
That's one that I don't ever remember seeing.
Congratulations and enjoy.

Very nice. You have done a proper job!
Seems those are really old razors made to look like really, really old razors....
Lots of threads on them here..

I had read those threads and seen Zak's contributions to AF, and agree with his reassessment of the dating. The collars are particularly nice, and that taper from 7/8 to 3/4 actually does seem to reflect the general shape of the much older stub tails. It was a lucky find from a dealer who I had bought a 1790's razor from before. That previous find cost me $6.50, so I go straight to this fellow every time.
