    Default Fresh from the wilds

When I picked up the large box and felt the heft of it, I knew that it was coming home with me from the flea market. Yeah, it has some hone wear, and the horn scales have some bug bites, but the stamping is crisp, and the price was way low. The "patented hollow grind" is far from being a full hollow, and more on the side of near wedge. It's 7/8 x 1/4+. So far I have just done a 5 minute looksee sanding, but will expend considerably more effort on it soon. This and the two brushes made my day.

How could they call that hollow ground? Great find.

There is just a hint of a 10" radius interrupting the wedge.

Those brushes look fine as well. Not too worn.

    Nice score!

I just got back from the flea market with the wife. Found a case full of RSO's made in Pakastan and one W&B that was ground down to almost a point. Looks like someone took a file to it.

Its a sad thing to see things like that. No score for me this time around.

I found a really nice Gilchrist that had a quarter sized chip in the blade, and a W&B with the same. It breaks the heart. There was a Pakistani blade the wife saw, but I didn't bother to even go look at. You have to look at a lot of rocks to find a jewel.
