I got a couple of those Mike. I really do like these razors.
Here is the newest one in the collection. got it in the mail today. It's going to need a little work to get rid of some scratches but not bad... Its got a bit of hone ware but for the price, I had to jump on it. This one seems to command a higher price for some reason.
Hoping to get out today and find a nice piece of wood to put in the box to hold the razors. Thinking something dark. Cant make up my mind if I want to cover the cedar in the box with something. Don't think staining it would be a good idea as that would kill its ability to suck up moisture. I think. It's just Sharpening, right?

Well, Here it is. My 14-day set of Imperials. All with different etchings/stamps, dressed in different woods but matching Rosette Collars, Pins and Bones Wedges. A little custom work on the box for an inserts to hold the razors (thanks for the close-up pics of yours Outback). I will be making a chart to put underneath the felt that says what razors have what wood scales. Plus I still need to get 5 of them honed, but the other 9 are shave ready and have been shaved with at least 3 times each.
It was a crazy idea but I just had to do it. Who in the right mind would need a 14-day set beside someone on a month long trip and didn't want to bring a strop. LOL.
Hope you all like it as much as I had fun putting it together over the last year. And thanks to Leonard for helping me find some of these echings as I didn't have many in the beginning.
Thanks for looking and not giving me a hard time about this idea. I'm probably the only one with a 14-day set. Guess I could sell it on eBay for $5K. Somebody would buy it. LOL.It's just Sharpening, right?

BTW, Tom, I didn't take the scales off of the one you sent me. It's just as it was. The scales were so nice I didn't want to mess with it. I use it. Not like this set. These might get used once in a while but it was just for fun.
