Friend gave me this box. Nice surprise.
The other day a co-worker placed this cigar box on the table in front of me and said "Thought you might like to have these".
To say I am happy is a gross understatement.
Inside the box I found.
7 Razors. 5 Coffin boxes. And one man made stone in a hand made hinged box.
The razor makes are. Ern Gong- G. Kraut Improved Swiss Razor"(rattler grind). -#1859 Kastor & Bros. - H. Boker & Co. #386. - Winchester Trade Mark.
Germania Cutlery Works "Keystone". -Germania Cutlery Works "Pathfinder" with Improved Eagle Razor Etch.
The Kastor has homemade wooden scales and a lot of hone wear. The Germania Improved Eagle has a broken scale. So my initial impression is 5 of the 7 are in need of light polishing and honing. And they will be good to go.
First up for cleaning up is the Improved Swiss. My first rattler grind. It has dyed horn scales and a lead wedge.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
