    Default Tokyo flea market haul

    Hi all.
I've just returned from a trip to Japan, and took some time to take pictures of some of my acquisitions there.
These five were a nice surprise from one of Tokyo flea markets.
Very nice set of orihi and kamisory in wooden fan-opening box:

Cool haul! Should keep you busy for a while! It’ll be worth it.

    That tapered faux is crazy.

You definitely have some great shaves ahead. The Frame backs are a treat to shave with.. Not "Faux" the blade is inserted after machining operations are over. They are hard soldered into the spine.

You are correct indeed: I've looked again, and they really are hard soldered. They are just fitted together so well I thought they were milled this way and not comprised of two initially different pieces.
