    Default Two old Sheffield razors.

Just finished up restoring these two old Sheffield razors I'm thinking around the 1850s?, a B.Winks & Sons Sheffield warranted in Lancet steel Tortoiseshell with brass lined scales, the other a very rare Asprey stubtail 166 Bond street London jewelers to the Crown dressed in Ivory, without doubt the most hollow grind I have ever seen on a stubtail razor.

Two lovely restores Jamie. Glad to see these oldies getting a new lease on life in competent hands. Thanks for sharing.

Yes Mark, 100% original stunning I think the fine brass liner certainly helped preserve the Tortoishell it also made my job a hell of a lot easier while taking them apart. I shaved with the razor this morning outstanding shaver.

My heart would be in my mouth taking apart Tortoise scales even with brass liners!

    Beautiful work, Jamie.
The look almost NOS, quite remarkable for razors over 150 years old.
