    That is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL blade, Buster-shoulderless, with a nice etched blade face-exactly my style!! I can't believe you got it that shiny with just Mother's and steel wool, but you did a splendid job of it. As other have said, there are many options for scales, from pre-mades all over the web (which may not be an optimal fit) to someone doing it for you. Or you could even study up on here and make your own with some basic tools and shop skills. Now I've got yet another brand to search for on ebay.

    It took a lot of time, but I’m pretty happy with it.
    I have been reading up on the scale process and may try to do it. Haven’t decided.
    I’ll post the finished product when it’s complete.
    Great resources here, and I appreciate everyone’s input.
