My Recent Auction wins. (photo heavy)
OK, so the other day I bid on a couple of lots of razors in an auction, and yesterday received the razors in the post.
2 lots won, a total of 10 razors.
1st group of 5
Blade is 13/16
Obviously part of a 7 day set, hence "Thursday" engraved on spine.
Am guessing that the scales are bone.
Wording on razor is

Thanked: 4827You will be amazed at how fast you can clean most of those up with 0000 steel wool and metal polish.

Start cheap and as you get better, go for the more expensive stuff. I started with toothpaste a long time back and found it great for scales.
Have fun!

Yep. What Richard said. About any metal polish, some steelwool and a lot of elbow grease will get you going, and like Richard said again, start with the less fancy razors and work to the fancy one last. It will give you a little learning along the way. You do have some nice one that will clesn up easy. If you have some capabilities, learn to unpin and repin. This will allow you to get the cleaning done 100% instead of getting then mostly clean. Its hard to get studd out of a pivot unless you do pinning. WD40 works well too.
It's just Sharpening, right?
