    Nice detective work. My opinion has certainly changed as more evidence was pointed out; hone the sucker up and see what gives.

    Welcome to SRP John. I'd take Outback up on his offer. Ship it to him and he can fix and hone it. Maybe take a look at the screws too. Pins would be much better.

    I think most people around here would agree with that, you just have to make sure that it's actually a fully German blade and not just assembled in solingen.
