    Default couple of new razors

Received a couple of new razors today. An H. Diamond 120 near wedge with cracked scales (nothing a little crazy glue can't fix), and a 6/8 Heljestrand with the model number worn off.

Nice. I like the inlay on the swirly scales. Isn't getting new razors in great!?

I've gotten too many of both this summer (several hones and at least 3-dozen razors, mostly bare blades for rescaling); this is what happens when my wife travels without me! Summer before last I went on a vintage shell strop bender; now I'm on brush knots to put in handles my woodworker friend is making.

If school doesn't start back soon, I'm going to be bankrupt lol!

    Or a new strop!

Received this Red Imp today, I'm super excited. It will need a light sanding, the linen will need cleaning, but it's in excellent condition. Unfortunately it was shipped folded in two, so it will also need to be flattened.

Yeah, this summer has been pretty bad for the shaving budget for me too!

I love that Red Imp! If that was the one on the Bay, I looked pretty hard at it, but never bid. And anyone who would ship a vintage strop folded should have it used as a strap across their stupid backside like they used to do-sheesh! (kindasortanotreallykidding)

It was a BIN. A little more than I’m usually willing to pay for vintage strops, but I’d been looking for a Red Imp for a while, and it looked to be in good condition, so I jumped on it. I don’t regret it at all!!

Yeah, I too am sort of looking for a Red Imp, and just Certifyd shell strops in general.
