Hunt has been pretty good this weekend...
Found some nice hones this weekend , wasn't allowed to choose , had them as a package deal hence the carbs and others , but some nice cotis and thuris...quite happy with them...
I was tryin' to figure out which is worse, ignorance or apathy...Then I realized I don't know and I don't care...

For a package deal, that is a pretty sweet package deal!
Have fun honing and getting to know them.

Thank you all for the kind words - lapped the cotis this afternoon - 3 or 4 were unused , rest had seen little use - there is a 'la veinette' and a 'la verte' and two 'la grosse jaune' - will ask Maurice at Ardennes what the speckled one and the boxed one cld be...lapped the little boxed french hone as well - sticker on top is missing - looks like a thuri - anybody who can identify the logo plse ?

Yep, quite the haul. I guess it makes sense that one would find all those coti's in Belgium.(i'm going to have to visit there someday). Just like we find Arky's here in the U.S. (still i don't think i've ever seen that many stones in one place.)

I was always taught, and have been under the assumption, that the Chalice signifies that the stone is an Escher.

That makes you smile." - Mark Twain

@tintin - yes this is the coticule county - vintage ones can be found on any garage sale over here - no one has any idea about the value so prices range from 6 to 15 euro a piece - I happen to known a 87 year old hoarder who claims to have a banana cardboard box full of two tone hones (he started collecting in 1973) - The only thing is that he can't recall where he left the box but it is somewhere in the house - he promised me he'll let me know asa he dug em up , so I am looking forward for a call...The only problem will be the wife though ... she doesn't understand why we need more than 1 hone and razor
