    Default Drareip seven days set

I recently found this 7 days set made by a Belgian maker
Guess the owner never shaved on a friday...
    Saturday blade is stuck however
Used WD40 to soak but still too tight to remove, even with some gentle tapping and the use of a viseName: fullsizeoutput_15df.jpg

Will soak a bit longer, there ought to be a way to have the blade released
I was tryin' to figure out which is worse, ignorance or apathy...Then I realized I don't know and I don't care...

WD-40 not the best oil for the job here. You want a penetrating lubricant... local hardware store should have a selection although by far my favorite is SiliKroil.

That's some awesome stuff. I don't think there's anything out there that comes close to it.

many tx for the info - never heard of the brand ... I think it is not known on the European continent - I'll check if there is a similar brand that can be purchased over here

Look for a penetrating lubricant that loosens bound metal... preferably something with silicone if there's a selection.

Yup, 3 votes for Kroil, the best penetrating oil, I too have ever found.

It melts rust. Just a little shot goes a long way. Give it a shot and position so the oil will run down into the crack between the blade and holder/frame back. The next day give it a tap with a brass, wood hammer or piece of wood and small hammer, just enough to break the seal.
I am just now running out from a can I have had for several years. It has saved my bacon, countless times.

It is hard to find, in a brick and mortar, on-line is easiest.

I have never used Kroil but have only heard good things.

The little taps give a vibration that is always good for breaking things loose.

Although that receiver hitch I had that was rusted in a while ago took more than a few BIG taps.

Hé Bart, I guess the unfolding handle is made to strop the blades ...

In the years before internet, I don't think that someone in Belgium had ever heard about kamisori.
Het kan ook gebruikt worden om kwata pasta op je boterham te smeren.
