Joseph Elliiot American Razor
Just got this in the mail, and I'm really excited about it. I was very surprised I won this on the bay. I threw a number at this with about 15 min to go thinking it would sell at least 50% higher than my bid. Checked on it 20 minutes later and I had won it by 34 cents. I feel like I stole it.
The tang stamp is Joseph Elliot's Celebrated Razor with a cross and C. The blade has scallops on the spine and tapers from 13/16 at the heel to 7/8 at the toe. The front of the blade has a nice eagle etch and the scalloped area of the spine is etched American Razor. It's also got a nice m.o.p. inlay. The collars are missing from the pivot end and one scale has a slight warp at the inlay. Overall it shouldn't take a lot to bring this back.

Oh, man If I had gotten it for 34 cents I'd be a master thief extraordinaire. My winning bid was 34 cents below my max. It's actually the most I've paid for a razor to date, really thought it would go for more based on a couple that sold shortly before. I was so sure I wouldn't get it I actually bought a lesser Joseph Elliot in worse condition the day before. It just came in today, so I'll try and get pics up this week.
