    And what's better ?
There are 6 of them (of a initial 7 set, which is a bit of a pity)

Big shoutout to @Thaeris who was kind enough to grab them for me from the auction house, made these lovely pictures and, should he resist to the temptation of keeping them, should send them my way this week.

The same @Thaeris also informed me he sold a very similar blade, stamped Touron, to @nipper

Super nice set. I never saw a 7 day set with tortoise scales. Bad ass!

Indeed they should. They have all the markers of Haute Marne late 19th century high grade steel (*) blades, and that's the kind of blades that goes best with my skin and beard. I have no doubt that they will hone perfectly and work wonders

Well... They are not "that" rare over here. Granted it's among the rarest materials, but as far as I've seen among French collectors, weekly sets are more likely to be from the 1800ths than the 1900s. And considering that they are luxury items, in France you will see mostly ivory and then, tortoise happens, far more often than MOP or even bone actually.

The most "common" tortoise weekly set you can see is the Kindal one, several collectors even have NOS MK33 ones.

But if you want to point at something excessively rare, it would be the "fuller" or "cannelure", which would be the recess just at the top of the blade. It would take an insane amount of skill to do that with this level of definition and the technologies of the time

(*) don't know about elsewhere, but in France the price of a "common razor" in the late 1800s depended of the quality of the steel. Haute Marne high grade would be the highest grade.
