Default Old barbers stone and razors

Got a chance today to check out a lot of old barbers tools for sale in the local classifieds. Was various items including hand clippers, combs, strop, scissors, dusters, razors and 2 stones. I explained that as a user I was only really interested in items that I can use so she said to come take a look.

These were here fathers tools of the trade and she was trying to sell them as she didn't want to just throw them out. The individual razors were well past worn with lots of hone wear and the strop was nicked up and would take a lot of restoration to get back to half decent. 1 of the razors had some etching that is rare so would be good as a collection piece and the pike/norton barbers hone was in good condition with the box and labels in good condition and I did let them know about this to maximize what they could get from thier lot. I tried to let them know what they had as they just knew it was vintage.

What I was interested in was a 4 box set of razors and a small barber hone size natural combo coticule. Managed to get both for $150. Will be reasonably light cleaning up for the razors and just flattening out the coti. The coti is ridiculously smooth. I flattened tonight and even on the atoma 400 it was like it was burnished. Looking for to getting a razor on it. Anyway pics or it didn't happen

That’s both a great story and a great score.

Just curious. Are the razors in the set marked for day of week or otherwise to suggest they are to be used every other day?

No markings except for the etching. Just 4 matching razors
