Default Can anyone help identify maker?

    Greetings all.
I am new to the razor forum but not to blades. I bought this straight razor in a lot of 4 at a recent auction in Cape Town South Africa. Not too sure of the maker as the blade holder? has worn away part of the name. Can anyone shed any light on the material used and the maker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers AlfName: DSC03163.jpg

Welcome to the forum. I can't help, but I'm sure someone can.
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

Yes, before I didn't even see words on that side. It looks like there's an N in front of Germany. Either "Made in" or "Ground in"

There was a J. J. Denison in Liverpool in 1854.
Did not find anything more. Could you make out full name with loupe?
