Now and then I dabble in microscopic-mineralogic fare and when I bought a new microscope light I avoided an LED light which are Di Rigueur these days. Unfortunately, because of the bluish cast especially for photography they are worthless. I got a Halogen light instead. The other option is play around with filters.
