    I thought it could have been equine at first as well but the scales are just too unwieldy

    Cool! Looks like the old celluloid. Does the blade look to have seen use? I thought maybe.

    I would keep that thing open and ventilated.

    It had an edge on it at some point but it seems to have been put on with the spine slightly raised.

    It's just cool to see something crazy made by case. The scales seem fine thankfully and it lived its life in two places with more inhospitable climates than where I am.
