Aha, now I understand how you are so damn clever at restoring your car.

Here was me thinking you were an amateur with a big book

Many years ago a young man I had worked with at Safeway had joined the Army. I received a weekly letter as did his mother among others. Every so slowly I could see the change coming. One Saturday I'd received my weekly letter and shortly after I received a call from his mother. The conversation kinda went like this:

Mom---Roy, I got a letter from Darin, what are they doing to my boy?

Me-----Mom, there making a man out of him.

Darin was a good kid before, he was outstanding young man when he came home. He went on to be my kids hockey coach. He become a lineman for our Rural Electric Association.

    Thank you for your service.

Obie I can’t remember the old drive in hamburger joint up around Ferguson, but back then it was the hangout for fast cars and listening to the music while taking your best girl out for a shake. Have a son who lives in Hazelwood , Pete I never got into the college but I was a regular at the brewery!

    Oh the memories.
Winfield oh the memories, a daughter in St Peters, and the “Elvis is Alive “museum in Winfield.
I’ve only been in Memphis area for 25 years guys so that gave me 45 in the St. Louis area. I can boast having watched the Cardinals in old Sportsman Park, old Busch Stadium and the new one, also went up in the Arch after only a week of being open, had an uncle who worked at the aluminum plant downtown that build it. Many good times
