Default Brookes and Crookes Wharncliffe Razor

So inside a lot I recently won at an auction, there was this razor :

Sold in Paris (I suppose) par John Marvey Successor 23 Bd des Capucines

First time I see an "engraved" shoulder

That being said, I wonder why "Wharncliffe razor". I've read that there is such a thing as a Wharncliffe blade, but that's nothing like that.

Has to be quite hard to see. I wonder about that scribed 'stabilizer' that seems to have been done for a short period in time.
Was it to make the razor appear more hollow?

Read up a bit on a Wharncliffe blade. Interesting seeing it on a razor. Seems it says Jones meaning successor to Harvey?
Anything on the spine? Part of a set perhaps? Does it have the bell logo on the rear?

Not extremely easy to read, but easy enough that I could have no doubt on the maker. Except for the notable absence of the bell logo.
Now I seem to understand that Boulevard des Capucines was home to several british shops and meeting places, such as Old England which closed recently, and actually, according to one of my friends, also sold Brooks and Crooks razors.

A wharmcliffe blade on a razor would, if my understanding is correct, look a lot more like a French Point, but I could be mistaken.

    Nothing on the spine

(in a bit of a hurry, I doing plumbing today)
