Thread: Return to Radio

Gentlemen,

After a 20-year absence I am returning to radio. Starting Sunday, September 4, 8 to 9 a.m. central time USA, I will program and host a classical music show on WMSE Milwaukee, 91.7 FM. We call the show Obie’s Opus. You can stream the hour-long program through the radio station’s APP at WMSE.org.

I am really looking forward to the show. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and the rest of the good guys are sure to lift your spirit. And occasionally I’ll throw in a bon-bon for a bit of spice. So mark it on your calendar. Thanks.

Thanks, my friend. Twenty years is a long time, but when I sat behind the microphone and tested the equipment, everything came naturally..

Like many things in life, once you have a skill developed from practise and experience, even after a long break it comes back. I am very happy to hear that is is a pleasure for you. One of the wise guys from days gone by said if you enjoy what you do, you will never work another day.

I do remember the first time I met you at that razor meet in Wisconsin.
Your voice was so smooth and sophisticated that I remember thinking " if this guy started selling Life Insurance, door to door, he would be a Millionaire".
