Thanked: 556Thought I was buying project razors
Sometimes you get lucky.
I thought I was going to buy some razors at an antique mall to keep me busy restoring for a while. Turns out all I had to do with these was clean up some patina and a very tiny amount of rust and hone them. They all turned out to be really good shavers.
Took a hint from Outback and gave the fellow a fair price for all 5. He took my contact info and promised to contact me when he acquires more shaving related goodies.
Shavee (this is new to me)
Shumate’s Barber
Wade & Butcher (first I’ve seen with gold wash on the tang)
Bengall
Culee (nice etch and fancy scales)

Great purchase there David. Low mileage on 'em.

I have several of the Colee, they were distributed by a local hardware store and often came in faux tortoise shell with covered tang.

Nice find David. Some nice, not worn out shavers are always a good find. Glad those worked out for you. It's nice to win every once in a while. I rejoice with you.
