Thanked: 154Playing with the boundaries
So, a year ago I felt in love with an improbable razor. It had all the markings of the best of Haute Marne craftsmanship, while being completely "out of left field".
Sadly, when I opened the box the blade was shoved deep in the ivory scales, which obviously broke under the pressure.
At that time, my friend Thaeris, scales maker extraordinaire, produced a razor at the crossroads of jewellery and scales making, using citrines on tortoise to make an absolute beauty.
So I asked him to take his sweet time and do something along the few lines of
"I know you love opal
- I do but it needs contrast to really shine
- like on the dark shades of tortoise ?
- Oh... Yes !
- Any other instructions?
- Nope, do your thing and have fun with it"
And lo !
I just... Love itBeautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

Nice~ It looks to have osteoderms (like a dinosaur) on the spine? Interesting! I miss Thaeris around.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
