Default New 7/8 Henckels on it's way

Hello guys, I just pulled the trigger on one of those 7/8 Henckels Friodur on the shaving shop. I had to post here because I can't contain myself and anyone around here would think I'm nuts. I'm having it honed there..I'm still a newbie and the stainless thing still scares me. Have a look..

I've had my eye on that one for quite some time. Looks like a real beauty. Good luck with her.

'Tis a sweet shaving blade, you will not be disappointed. Had a fine shave with a very similar one this morning.

Wow! Very nice razor. I like the scales. I have a couple of 6/8 razors, but haven't gotten into the 7/8 size yet....being a newbie str8t guy, I don't even hone my own razors....yet.

Sorry for double posting, but I just looked on shavingshop.com...... I really like the looks of those razors. It seems as if the Friodurs are well respected blades. But I do have a question....the square tip that is sold there, is it really a spike point or just a little more squared edge than a round point?

    Congrats Fallout!!

They are not the most pointed / spiked tips and are somewhat rounded.....

I have one of those in a square point coming after it's honed. It's got Texas Ebony scales done by R.W.. I'm with you on the intimidation factor though. They'z some big Bladez!!!

Check out shaving shop's 8/8 Friodurs...it is almost big enough to use as a butcher knife.

Thx guys, I can't wait. John told me the Friodurs will be sold out forever in about a year. Padron that is a beautiful razor you got there.
Funny I have never nicked myself with a 6/8 or larger square point, but have made a mess several times with a 5/8 squarepoint.
