Thread: Two new Ducks....

Check out this picture.... (This is what I bought them from...)what do you make of them? I wonder what you can tell from the picture.

I'll let you all ponder a little before I reveal....

Well for a start, you'll never catch me holding any of my razors like that no matter how tight the scales are. You not like your thumb? lol

I'm not sure what the reveal is going to be. They look like a couple of Gold Edge razors to me. I've got one myself.

From the pic it looks like 2 Goldedges can't tell much else would guess 5/8 or maybe my personal fav an 11/16
and you could sell them with a quickness for (LOTS $$$$)

Wow, you guys are good! Yup, 2 Goldedges, in excellent condition..One has minor hone wear to the nose (like he wanted to soften the spike), a nick in the bolster and scale on one side, and minor aging to the celulose at the hinge (may be soil) while the other has minor black spots on the blade of the other- infact, except for the tarnish/blackening and missing gold,it looks NOS! No hone wear discernable to the spine!

Yeah, the guy did NOT know how to take pictures, or hold a razor. I'm guessing they were his or his fathers (just gut feeling). I thought they might be Satinedges from the picture- guess you guys have better eyes than I do in making out the script.
You can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to unwrap them!

SWMBO was not pleased when she saw them ("Another razor?!" to which I replied, 'Nope. Two razors' and got the bathroom door slammed in my face. she'll come around....) so it's possible one will be going up for grabs shortly when I get a chance to clean and shine them both up.

I just bought a pair of goldedges the other day on ebay myself. I can't wait for them to arrive. Luckily I received my first Fritz Bracht Tennis today, and it looks great. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

I understand that when you say SWMBO you're referring to your lovely wife but what does SWMBO stand for?
