Otto Bush Weltmeister Monday razor
I picked this up at an antique store a few weeks back. It's never been honed and has only the factory bevel. Clearly part of a seven day set. Where did his brethren disappear to?
Maybe he'll end up being my Monday shave razor. When I get the time to really focus on it, I can't wait to hone and strop it up. I'll say that this razor cost me the exact same amount that a certain battered, beaten and worn Boker was listed on BST for recently. You know, THE razor that was the source of the recent S-Storm? Oh, and I see I misspelled Busch. Sorry!

I'll answer in order:
1) Antique store in Minnesota
2) This is a bit O' a riddle. The link I referred to IS HERE
3) Good question. I wouldn't guess it's really that old. Maybe 35 years max?
Naturally it caught my eye right away!

Thanked: 735She's a beaut!
Wow, really looks quite nice. Please let us know if she shaves as good as she looks. I've been eyeing a couple of Otto Busch offerings, but at substantially higher prices than what you got this baby for.
Run it through the Shapton progression and let's hear about it!

WOW!
That is some find. My antique store ventures have produced a few decent blades but nothing even remotely close.
Gorgeous.

My parents are antique hounds...Suddenly at 44 I find myself dragging my 6yr. old into antique stores looking for razors. One of the local "malls" knows my face and I get told where anything new is. I now find myself driving up to an hour away on "a lead"....lol. It's fun and a find like Chris' here can make a day. BTW Wisconsin has fair prices I found a unused Torry in great shape (not perfect) for $15.00. My only problem is that my daughter is now letting people know what I'm after putting a dent in my bartering abilities...
Daddy you are NOT allowed to buy more shaving stuff! He has a ton of razors...every time we go shopping he looks for more shaving stuff.
