Thread: Finds in Florida

I had to go visit family in Florida last week and checked out a couple of antique stores while I was down there. I got a few stares when I told people what I was looking for, but my hunt turned up a couple of finds.

The Dubl Duck is in great shape. The edge is rusty, but not chipped. The Alwin definitely needs work, but aside from surface rust the blade seems fine. I placed the edges of them both on a flat board and am happy to see that both are still pretty straight.

I hope to be sending them out to be honed once I can get them cleaned up. Time and $ are my biggest restrictions, as always.

Looks like you weren't kidding about doing well out of town. Those should clean up well.
