Practice blade
I figure I needed a blade to practice honing and stropping with so I got this:

This looks like it would work. Comments?

Thanked: 1It looks right to me--a full hollow, so it will be easier to hone and an nice looking edge. I've found with that type of low-rez, general photo (no close-up), you can't be quite sure what you are getting. That edge looks smooth enough, but it could have some micro-chips. But since you want it for practice, that may not be a bad thing!
The price was certainly right and it's in the sort of condition that it may be a worthy razor once you are done with it. Good luck!

A busy night for me. I also got this:

They seem well cared for and "shave ready"?
I think I am done for now.

Thanked: 1Wow, now that was a good deal--two razors and a strop--excellent! You'll like that Wade and Butcher, I bet!

The seller of the fist blade contacted me and said that under bright daylight she noticed a hairline crack in the "rivet" and offered me the chance to bow out or take shipment and send it back for a refund if I didn't like it.
Thoughts?

Thanked: 1If what you wanted this for was practice honing, I'd get it still--but ask for a partial refund. You'll save a few bucks and that crack--I take it to be a crack in the scales near the pivot--won't hinder your honing. And if you really like the razor after honing, you can get new scales put on it.
