Don't know about etiquette, but as I said there were all these rumors going around and people kept bugging me to take a peek.
Addict? - I can stop any time! Just not today.
I don't know if it's appropriate to disclose this, but ok, I hold it gently with my right hand only, as that gives me the best results in making it keen. Except sometimes when the hone is not being supported by the table, but by my left hand - no pictures of the action though.

Oh if I knew you were Gu.Gi. before, I would not have insulted you with such an easy honing question! Pardon me Mr. Gigler, but do you bother to work up a slurry before exercising your talent or do you rather start right in with the long x-pattern strokes? Some have said that by skipping the initial hard rubbing of the stones to let the wet friction prepare the hone, one may get ahead by simply oiling the stone and starting in immediately. Wet with motion or pass the lotion?
