    Default The 3 newbies

today was my early day. hit a few antique stores. picked these 3 up.

Columbia Cutlery Extra Hollow Ground. i think a 5/8s. this will be taken apart, cleaned, and repinned with brass pins and original scales.

2nd is a Henkels(no, not Henckels) round point 13/16. i think this will end up closer to 6/8 after honing. this will be taken apart, cleaned, and repinned with brass pins and original scales.

the last is a Sheffield The Old English Razor. this is a big blade. it is a 15/16 and very heavy. this one will get a complete teardown and new scales. probably adjustable pins since i plan on keeping this one.

possibly. i could have been more clear. the OE came in the mail that morning, the other 2 were antique store finds. hope to get to a couple of them this week.

Good catch at the antique stores… those in my area have all but dried out or razors… looks like I will have to “forage” even farther for game.

The FR interests me because I have a similar razor with the same type scales but the face scale with “The Old English Razor” is toast. I Would love to restore the razor with original scales.
If the scales on yours aren’t that bad I would gladly take them off you if you don’t mind my asking.

i wish that they were pristine because i like the vintage look over customs, but i don't think that they are that great. i will look again when i get home tonight. they are yours if you want them. i will let you know.

I will take them if they are not cracked or broken.
    Scratches and bug bites OK.
PM and let me know how much you want for them and shipping... Thanks.
